MG TD TF 1500 - Spot Welds
Bought a new spot welder and it works great! Had to replace the battery box so I had no choice. Came out pretty good. PJ![]() |

Paul, which one did you settle on, I have always used the MIG to form my spot welds which is not always consistent? bob |

Bob, I bought this one from HF. It's the 240 volt model and you can see the results. It won't get used much and that's the reason I didn't go for a better brand, but I am pleased with how well it welds. It takes 3 to 4 seconds for a weld, no more! It is very heavy though, I would say 15 to 18 pounds. I did grind the tips down to a diameter matching the factory welds. PJ![]() |

Nice craftsmanship, looks great. |

Looks handy. I don't have 220 so I would have to opt for the 120v, wondering how it would compare to the 240v. |

Geoffrey, The only difference I could see is the 240 one will weld a little thicker material. They look identical in outward appearance and weigh about the same. I could have used the 120 one for the battery box, but opted for the higher voltage, especially since I have 240 already in the shop. Believe it or not, they were the same price. PJ |
