MG TD TF 1500 - Starter drive gear dismantle

Hi,
I want to change the starter drive gear on my 1953 MG TD and I don't find how I dismantle the old gear. Somebody have an idea ?

Bonjour Didier,

To remove the wire clip holding the coller in place you need to use a special tool as shown in the image below.
You can try the method shown by John Twist, but it is dangerous.

I have one which you are welcome to use if you want to travel to Antibes.
