Nope, the mounting wings are narrower than the TD strikers. Those are for a TC. George |

I have an extra wedge in fair condition you can have. I have noticed that the shaft sizes varies between different strikers. One of mine had a rubber sleeve which I had to remove to fit into a different body. Both were original brand "silent travel" One of the ears broke off of my original so I got this unknown vintage one out of a box of TC/TD parts I bought at an Estate sale! I chose the wedge with the least wear on it. Chuck |

Wedges are the same however I have seen some repro wedges only fit repro locks, but not originals and vice-versa. Seems different manufactures have made lock sets over the years. George |

Can you post a pic of the wedges. I am trying to get my doors to latch properly right now. I ended up building out the back of the latch. |

Sorry I just realized the wedge you are talking about is the pic. I was wondering if they have a wedge to go behind the strike to get the proper angle for the latch to catch it. I am having a heck of a time trying to get the latch in far enought to catch the hole. I got theassenger door today by putting washers behind the back of the latch so it was the proper angle. I was try ing to think of a way to do the strike to build out the back of it. Sorry did not mean to hijack this thread. |

TLW. Moss have a shim that goes behind the actual door lock. It is #401-170 and 1/16" thick. Sometimes if new wood latch pillers are used they are a bit too, thick and need shaving. Sandy |

Thank you. I am not sure 1/16 is enough for my latches. I have about 4 washers behind the back screws right noon the passenger on. Bt I will check it out. Of course now my covers do not fit all the way to the door card. I thought about gluing a hood wedge they use for alignment on the back of the strike. Maybe cheating both will make it so neither is way out. Thanks again |

ok, i checked out the 401-170. it looks like a plate. what i feel like i need to do is get the striker and handle more in line. if i shut the door, then put the wedge into the handle so it locks, the angle of my wedge is not the engle of the body when the strike assembly is in place. to get this to slide in and lock, i need to build out the back of the strike or the lock on the door. i did the door because i can not hold washers behind the strike and install with the panels in place. am i missing something? if i do not get these more in line the door latch just wants to hook into the safety lip and not into the hole. |
