MG TD TF 1500 - T Register Question
Do you have to be a member of the T Register to register your car? Cost? Details? Thanks. PJ |

PJ - Before saying yes, a bit of a background on the New England MG 'T' Register. It was originally established around the MG Car Club of England, which had separate Registers for each of the models of MGs. The New England MG 'T' Register that started originally lumping all the T series cars and over the years lumped all the T series and earlier years and the entire US. The New England MG ''T' register has, over the years, incorporated all of the early MG years.
I am sure that there are current members on this site who can go into the Register much deeper than I can as my wife and I dropped out of the NEMGTR quite some time to put our energies into a Western Washington State 'T' Register, modeled the NEMGTR for the local area. Cheers, |

PJ, if you’re referring to the list the MG Car Club T Register keeps then that is free and you do not have to be a member.
We make the searchable list available online but of course do not publish owner details. We have a Registrar for TDs (Geoff Matthews) and for TFs (Barrie Jones) who can be contacted from the MGCC T Register website Contacts page - http://www.mgcc.co.uk/t-register/contacts/ The list is available at http://www.mgcc.co.uk/t-register/registers/register-of-t-types-known-to-the-t-register/ David |

Paul, If you go to their web site it will all be explained. nemgtr.org Click on the Join Us Tab. Just from my memory (ha ha) If you put in the details about your car their database well know if the car has ever been registered by any prior owner. If it has it will maintain that register number. If it has never been registered it will receive a register number when you join the club. The website will also give you other details as to cost etc. Mort |

PJ,
I am an early NEMGTR member - nbr 100. Could have been lower, but I asked for #100. The main benefit of joining the NEMGTR is an outstanding magazine - the TSO or "The Sacred Octagon" so named by the late Frank Churchill; and for the many excellent activities, mostly, but by no means all, in the north eastern corner of the US and Canada. A few years ago, it was voted "The best Small Club Magazine" in North America. I go to fewer and fewer events each year (called GOFs or "Gathering of the Faithful"- also coined by Frank Churchill), but I nonetheless enjoy them. Their Glorious Leader is Chairman David Sander, a frequent participant on this forum. Whilst Oklahoma is a bit far to drive to a GOF (I have driven to them in Florida, Tennessee, and Reno), you might enjoy regional GOFs that are held in the West and South, at least on a yearly basis. In addition to the Mother Club (thanks to David Wardell), there is also a T-Register in Australia. Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué. |

Thanks to all for giving me a heads up on the T register. The NEMGTR would more than likely be more to my benefit being on this side of the pond. One of our animals has a medical condition that prevents me from straying too far from home at the present, being the only one who can administer her meds. The magazine sounds interesting though. Thanks Gord, much appreciated. PJ |
