MG TD TF 1500 - TC Color
This is not an original TC color, is it? Looks a lot like the color my TF is going to be painted. PJ![]() |

This is "MG Red" it was an original color. Most early TCs were black. Green, Ivory, Red and Clipper Blue were the other colors avalable. David |

The color is far off from the original MG Red on my 55 TF. I know colors on these computers vary, but it's different. That's why I questioned it, it looks more like a Jag color, Regency Red. PJ |

Crazy as it may sound, that was the only rust spot on the whole car! Behind a running board. PJ |

Paul: Both pictures are correct. Don't get too hung up on one picture. My car is painted the same color. Look over the gallery link below. At times the color will look like the TC and other times like your sample. That's the really cool aspect of this color. It changes dramatically in different lighting/angles. http://www.mg-cars.org.uk/mgtd/mgtd_gallery_my_mgtd.htm |

The '49 TC pictured is owned by a guy who is heavily into factory originality. It is the correct color, although the brake drums would not have been painted red from the factory unless it was a display car. |
