MG TD TF 1500 - TD carb overflow tube clip
Can anyone tell me if the Moss replacement part is a close match to the original? The part is #69 in the image below. If it's just a regular garden-variety-type clip, I'll stick with the one I just made out of a half inch pipe clip. If not, I'll order it. Other than that, I've just finished another mini project; rerouting my carb overflow pipes as described in several of the threads here. ![]() |

Which path did you decide on Geoff? There are two schools of thought on this. Across, over then down avoiding the hole or across, down & then through the hole. As far as I'm aware this question hasn't been definitively answered. This is no disagreement on the location of the clip however. Both paths are shown below. Cheers Peter TD 5801 ![]() |

From an original TD. The P clip is also shown.

Across over and down! Not a fan of the through-hole school of thought - don't know why. |

It gets painted engine color anyway and you don't really see it. PS. I went over the plate. |

Me too. |

Over the top and down,, then wrap with a spiral cut piece of rubber tubing to keep them together.. . . If you do decide to go through that little hole, Please be sure to tell us how much fun you had when it is necessary to R&R them!!!! SPW ![]() |

I went down in front of the plate also. Never even gave it a thought of going through the hole. PJ![]() |
