MG TD TF 1500 - TD MK II hardline fuel routing.

I need some help from LHD MGTD MK II owners. I need to correctly route the dual lines from the tank to the pumps on my dad’s TD/c-8151 restoration. Neither of my MK IIs have intact fuel lines to use as a pattern. I would prefer pics of original or patterned from original lines. Can any one send pics of their correct routing from the tank bungs along the rails up along the toe board through the P clips at the firewall brace and specifically several views of their routing from the dual clip next to the horn and up to the pumps. Also there are three sets of clip holes along the right frame rail. Which sets should be used?

I could also use pics of original patterned overflow pipes.

Ross. Thank you for those. What is your chassis #? Is there any indication that the lines were painted black?

I could use more routing photos from others for comparison.

Dan Craig sent me photos that show a double clamp in the hole on the side of the firewall brace. I don’t know his chassis#. However, neither of my cars appear to ever had a double clip in this position. The same double clamp is used in a hole next to the horn on my firewall on both cars but I had 2 P clips at the 3/8” bolt for the firewall brace /chassis strut.

My chassis number is TD/C 19349 - matching numbers and previously un-restored, but undergoing a restoration now. I am the second owner, the first being a chap in New York State.

Think yourselves lucky, those of us with RHD have to fiddle it in between the pedal box and the chassis complete with the speedo cable. Much swearing involved :-)

Ditto Ray,
It’s not long since I fed the speedo cable for TF 2071 and it was a bear of a job. Then I changed to a Toyota gearbox and had to do it again! If it’s any help to any RHD drivers I found that I needed to push the fuel line up in the slot to make a little more room for the cable.
