MG TD TF 1500 - TD/TF Day Night Flip Mirror

Who made the inside dash mount flip mirror for T cars and other British models of the period? PJ

TF 9052 has a day night rear view mirror. I have seen the same mirror on several late TFs. I think it is a Desmo mirror, but I can’t find any pictures or notes to confirm that.

The mirrors were made by either Winguard or Lucas and were 'mostly' fitted to the TF1500. Desmo made the non-dipping.

There are quite a few Winguard mirrors on ebay-----------you might be lucky--or not

That’s it! It seams a lot of TF 1500s bound for Australia had these, but I’ve seen them on some US cars as well.

About 6 years ago I learned from Bob Brown that the same mirror (functionally) was used in XKE's, and is available. I bought one and adapted it to Lazarus. Bob took the innards and adapted them into a TF mirror.
