MG TD TF 1500 - TD/TF transmission available

I have a spare TD/TF transmission that I won't be needing since I sold my TF.It was removed from a friends TF1500 when he converted to a 5 speed. I know the car and it had 22K mile when the conversion took place and was working fine, he just wanted the convenience of a 5 speed. If anybody needs one please let me known. Email: bbrown@bayaero.com

Also I noticed that a number of the BBS participants live in Florida and maybe even in the Fort Lauderdale area. I recently sold a TF1500 that I restored to someone living in that area and wanted to pass along a couple of names of people in the area knowledgeable about TF's since he is new to MG's and might need some insight and shared experiences. Please let me know if anyone would be interested in looking him up. I believe there is a British car event this Sunday in the vicinity and expect he will be trying to attend this if the car arrives in time.

I have converted my TF to 5 speeds and the car now drives beautifully. I would recommend the gearbox swop to anyone. However every single part including the 4 speed box and all the nuts, bolts and spring washers that were originally fitted to the car are safely stored away. In the 1960s many prewar MGs had their original OHC engines changed for Ford side valve ones. Original engines are now worth a fortune. A 1920s MG M Type engine is currently advertised in the Octagon magazine for £5000 and a 1930s MG J2 one for £10000

Tom asked for a price on the transmission, legitimate question, but I still haven't seen one. Reason?? PJ

4 including this one all showing different upload times. Maybe time for the webmaster to sort out the duplication? Cheers

I notice some forums have moderators with powers to change things. Is that what is needed here?

Thanks for the heads-up on the duplicates. I will zap a few shortly.

Unfortunately, responses on one of the early threads were lost with the zapping. So, I'll repeat what I had offered:

You'll be missed, Bob. Bud
