I rewound my own a few years ago. Works great. If the guy is at all mechanically inclined I suggest he does his own.

I tried to have a wiper motor armature rewound here in Sydney but could not find an auto electrician anywhere able to do the job. Even finding wire of the correct gauge was impossible. I have a couple of motors that need attention so all suggestions welcomed. Cheers
