Tom,

You're right. And even 2 different badges on it!

Mike Walsh pointed that out to me the other day.

Jasper: You are always a good sleuth for these sort of things. Perhaps you can dig up some info on the 'new' importer/dealer.

A quick search on Google gave this:

My late 1953 TD (TD29744)has the same J A Woodhouse badge in the same place on the body. I have seen about 6 cars with the badge at NEMGTR events, most late 1953 TD's and at least one TF.

@ Nick: Thanks!

@ Chris: The full name of this company is:
Anglo-Automobil Graf Deym & Co KG, Odeonsplatz 2, Munich.
The company does not exist anymore. I cannot find any additional information.

Not quite on topic but I've been gathering original tools to compile a tool kit for the TD & aquired a pair of pliers that seem correct re size, shape etc but carry a Made in West Germany embossing on the handle, as well as the maker's name. Can't recall the manufacturer but will check out the maker when next at the car. Wondered if it formed part of an original German TD tool kit? Cheers

Volkswagen toolkits came with a pair of pliers that looked remarkably similar to the ones found in British toolkits... perhaps that's where yours originated? I have a pair like that as well that came from my brother's Bug.

Thanks guys. Now posted in the Euro dealers page.
