MG TD TF 1500 - TD4834: Inspection marks

As I am awaiting color swatches from several members ,I have been busy with knocking down four previous paint jobs and getting down to the original color coat and or the black primer. I 've been working on the undersides of panels as well and finding "tells" of its past. Located on the right rear fender(l'a} and inside the left door(s) are inspectors marks in either yellow or white grease pencils of one or two letters. Where have others found marks and what were they? Just curious as I want to preserve or replicate them if I can. It might be useful to note that my build is 12 7 1950.

Can you post pics please?

This was found on my TF 1414 on the drivers side door. Looks like the number 10 written with a white grease pencil by a worker reaching over to mark the door. What it means, no idea.

Post some pictures what you have found.

The number three with yellow grease pencil located behind the interior vinyl trim panel that goes over the wheel well. Both sides had this marking.

I've tried to but the site is rejecting them and I don't know how to fix it, I'm not computer savvy

The pictures you have probably need to be resized smaller.

If you still having issues, email them to me and I will post them for you in your behalf.

When I was in the middle of the restoration of TD4224 which "came out the door" on Nov. 7th 1950, I found the name "Patricia" written in chalk on the inside of the drivers door panel. This discovery happened some 20 years ago and I wonder if anyone else has met "Patricia"? I still have the panel somewhere, and will post a photo if I can remember how.

That is so cool Wouldn't it be grand to me her and know who the others were attached to these marks. I've found a few more on the fenders that are barely visible anymore one is a 4 on the other rear fender in white grease pen. My door panels still have a black vapor barrier covering the wood panel so I'm not aware if marks are behind them. Lets see more marks
