MG TD TF 1500 - TF carby return springs
Can someone show me how the carby return springs are attached please on a TF Thanks george |

If you mean throttle return springs, there should be one spring, attached to a bent tab screwed under the top starter bolt. Moss spring seems OK. Tom Lange MGT Repair |

Thanks Tom, No Tab off starter on mine and I have two springs coming from a bracket bolted to the inlet manifold then the springs come off the bottom of the bracket up to the side of each carby, obviously someone has done this to do away with the original one spring setup. will post a photo as soon as I can. Yes - sounds like quite creative engineering! I'll look forward to a picture. If you look at the arm connected to the pedal just under the rear carb,, you will see a small flat spot with a hole drilled in it. That's where the other end of the return spring SHOULD go. Tom Lange MGT Repair |
