MG TD TF 1500 - TF Running Board Chrome Strip Position

Does anyone have a measurement of the TF running board chrome strip positions, such as, how much leading edge of each strip is located on the front fender?
thanks,
Tyler

The leading edge of the innermost strip is 38.5 cm from the fender/running board seam. Leading edge of the middle strip is 27.5 cm from the seam. Leading edge of outer strip is 17.5 cm from the seam. I hope this helps.

From the front rubber, at the end of the fender the three strips are the same and about 1-3/8" back from the middle of the rubber.
If you need a more precise measurement I can crawl in the am.
First frame, 7 yeas ago before removing them
middle work in process, last frame done.

I don't think you can be too prescriptive about the position of the strips. Mine are different at each side but still look fine when viewed individually. The important thing is for the rear edges of the short and centre strips to almost touch the body under the door and then the front edge of the outer strip to be in a diagonal line with the other two.

I hope this helps.
Front edge of outer 7.5" from centre of rubber.
Front edge of inner 15.5 from centre of rubber.
middle one to line up with the other two.
At least that is how mine was when I bought it 40 years ago.

Here is a photo of mine with a ruler. I tried to upload this last night but for some reason I cannot post to this site from my iPad.

Thanks to all your help the sill covers are in.

I used #4 by 1/2" oval head SS wood screws.
MY sill covers are only 0.020 thick SS. One cannot countersink them. Instead I made a dimpling tool and formed the plates into countersink. I calculated that the sills would need to be countersunk until the diameter was just 1/4"
That seems to have worked out well. There does not seem to be any interference to the door closing.

Thanks Again.
