MG TD TF 1500 - The things they do

Had a heck of a time with my Trafficator's, they would not work at all, fixed that, then they would work and stop then only work on one side and then good again, I ran all earths back to the Battery earth and that seemed to fix it, then this morning they started playing up again so I started to go through the system again, previously I had not checked the globes as the all lit up, however today I removed the front park/indicator globe and there it was a double filament globe the offset pin type with one of the pins filed off supposedly because the someone in the past did not have a double filament parallel pin globe, going good now with the correct fitting globe.

George at the risk of being seen as a pain in the butt could I respectfully request that in future you use a thread title that can be searched & retrieved at a later date? The info you've provided above is both informative & useful but in the future nobody is ever going to be able to find it! A title like "TF Trafficator Problem" would mean that someone with a similiar issue could actually search the archive & find/read your solution. As a fellow Skip (albeit a sandgroper) I'm sure you'll acknowledge we have an international reputation for calling a spade a spade, so I hope you'll take this in the spirit that it's intended. I thoroughly understand how Georges title could be done, I've done it myself! When we want to convey a message, we usually think of a story to ask for help or relay a situation we have solved to help others. I also understand Peters suggestion and he's correct. Problem is, we don't normally think as the title of our subject being put in a data base for later retrieval. Be nice if the title,(not to be changed), but could have Trafficators added in front, I know no way that this could be done, unless the web master could do it. Sure would put it in the right category in the archives for future reference.
