MG TD TF 1500 - Throttle Return Spring Bracket
Can anyone tell me the dimensions for the said bracket which goes under the starter motor bolt, mine is missing! Also does it have a bend? A picture may be nice if you have a good close-up. Thanks in advance. Cliff |

Here's a picture I found online, is this for a TD? If so can anyone tell me the rough dimensions?![]() |

The replacement I got from LBCC (Moss Part) is: 3" long end to end 45 degree bend at 1 1/8" from wide end 11/16" wide at wide end 7/16" wide at narrow end Can't say if this is the factory spec, just the Moss part dimensions. Hope this helps |

CJ, would you care for one that could use some TLC? Someone undid the 45° bend. No cracks, could be easily reshaped. It's yours if you'll just send your mailing address to me at my email address above. Bud

Somebody was a wee bit heavy footed! ;) |

L Karpman's dimensions are right on. I made mine from some 1/8" stock I had left over from a frame repair. See photos. I did a 90 deg bend.

Hey Bud thanks for the kind offer but as I'm in England it's probably not worth the effort compared to making one, especially as L Karpman has kindly measured one out for me. Although it is interesting to note the position of the bracket in the two pictures. Rer Rosa's location looks a better position for the spring than the picture I found. Thanks for the replies. |
