MG TD TF 1500 - transmission weight

Can anyone give me the dry weight of a TD Transmission?

I'm trying to locate a reasonable cost shipper from Knoxville TN, USA to Barrie, On, Canada.

I would estimate it at 75 lbs. but I don't have an exact number. That would be with the bell housing attached.

You are looking at 100 lbs including the homemade wood crate per UPS scale at the UPS customer service center. I brought one there personally.

Just an idea. You could have the gearbox shipped by bus to Buffalo NY. Drive down to pick it up at the buss station. I have done this for a customer north of Vancouver Canada. Saves on custom and brokers fees by picking up in the US.

Greyhound is the only way to go. I shipped four MGA fenders from florida to the west coast for under $70.00.An MGA hardtop to Texas for $54.00.
