MG TD TF 1500 - UK vs RoW ECU
My central locking is playing up, it will open all doors but only lock the driver's. Garage says I need a new ECU but they can't source one new. Looking into it there appears to be a difference in the ECU & fob for UK vs the rest of the world, something about Lucas & something else. Any way my question is, can I replace the ROW ECU with a UK one as they are the only ones I can find? Will it work? Thoughts on a postcard would be appreciated. |

Hi A J, I suspect you've gotten on to the wrong TF group, this one is for the 1954-5 +- cars, I think maybe you have a recent TF. Ours have no ECU's ;-) or anything electronic. There may be a group at <http://www2.mg-cars.org.uk/cgi-bin/or17?runprog=mgbbs&access=> for your new TF. good luck, Al, 1954 TF "Emma" |

Does a bungee cord count as central locking? :-D Matthew. |

Only Central locking I have involves removing the Rotor Arm! |

On my Honda 750 I was once nicked for going 100 MPH in a 50 MPH zone and I was put in Central Locking - does that count? |

You too eh? My central locking also doesnt work - cant even find out how to set it in the manual. Also, the DVD and Dolby surround sound system never has worked since I had the car. Air conditioning is fantastic though ( always seems to be on full blast when underway) RGC |
