MG TD TF 1500 - Upholstery kit
I am in the market to purchase a TD upholstrey kit. Moss part number 245-400 (red). They list the price at US$589.95, I have the seat upholstery. Can anyone recommend a source value for money. I have to watch the prices very closely for transport costs from the States to Australia are extremely high with the full cost nearly double. Any help would be appreciated. John...Sydney |

If you order through Little British Car Company, theres about a 15-20% discount over the Moss prices. http://www.lbcarco.com/ |

John I bought a full kit for my TF from a supplier who lists on "Fleabay". Very happy with the quality and attention to detail. Bonus was the time frame was when the $A was very strong against the $US. I suggest you contact "Sportsparts" here in Aus they might know someone locally that can assist you. Graeme |

Hi John, I bought an upholstery kit for my TD a few years ago. I took it to a trimmer so he could fit the seat covers properly. He had to adjust the covers so they were a snug fit and he said it would have been cheaper to let him make the whole lot from scratch. At least there are no carriage costs via this route. Just a wee point of interest for you - the trimmer had spent 20 years working in Australia on classic cars before returning to Scotland. Jan T |

...I had a fabricator say the same thing about the Moss top I took to have fitted... He said he could have made it from scratch cheaper.. The seats are not overly complicated...I ended up making my seat bottoms from a piece of leather....only 3 pieces....and some channeling.... |
