MG TD TF 1500 - Vinyl fabric choices
Being naturally cheap, I'm wondering what other solutions people have found for doing the interior vinyl. I have to replace a couple of sections at least, and might as well start thinking about doing most of it. (My interior is tan). But Moss has it starting at $28/yard. I see it as low as $12/yard out on the internets. Recommendations, anyone? |

Make sure you look at Marine grade only. Other vinyl will mildew. ...CR |

Check out the Correctness Police Thread below for a pic of unfaded original tan compared to the Moss version. See Jim B's first pic. Much cheaper to make your own & you get a better fitting, more original result. Segal Motor Trimmers in England can make the correct 1/2" hidem from your vinyl as it requires a machine with a double foot. Moss stuff is 5/8" & just looks wrong. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Peter, you didn't include the thread... |

go to your local auto upholsterer and go through their marine vinyl sample books. There are a lot of tan tones and textures to choose from and may find something very close |

Peter, an archive search on "correctness police" both with and without caps only returns one thread entitled "Tire satisfaction"... I think the search function on this forum is screwy, I know I've seen that phrase 100s of times... |

Geoff it's an active thread about halfway down this list. |
