MG TD TF 1500 - What is this?

Found this on the lower front of the fuel tank under 1/8 inch of undercoating. Tried to decipher it but no luck. I just wanted to record it before the tank is stripped. PJ

Looks like the remains of an acceptance (control) sticker, where the ink bled through the sticker and caused the adhesive to be more aggressive.

For some reason, I see crossed fishing rods in the image.

Notice the the crossed swords you see are entended into the tank with corresponding scratches.
