MG TD TF 1500 - what part is this?
| Can you identify this special nut? It has a fine inch thread and could come off of a Y-type or TD, but maybe something completely different.

| Captive nuts like that were on the kick panel below the fire wall, of my TD I remember making a few. The threads were BSF though. Jim B. |

| Believe it or not, they were in use on my '30 Model A Ford. Now, Rivnuts serve the same purpose for light fastening needs, like mounting a fuel pump, cable/brake lines clamped to a frame rail, etc. I used a lot of them when building my hot rod. ..... |
