MG TD TF 1500 - What's With the Color Coding of the Threads?

Title says it all...of course, I'm assuming you're all seeing a beige background with the thread titles in either blue or black.

I can't see that there's any rhyme or reason - some of the ones I've read are black, some are blue....same with the ones I haven't read yet.

Gene, mine are just as they have been. You do know that you can effect the appearance through the 'Customize' link on the upper right edge of the page. Bud
Bud Krueger

It's changed for me as well. It appears that black are unvisited threads and blue are visited.
Steve S

I'm seeing the same thing as Steve S.

Kirk
Kirk Trigg

Me too. I guess a change is as good as a holiday! Cheers

I am having a different problem. When I hit the 'back' arrow after reading a thread, sometimes it goes all the way back to the previous subject I was reading rather than back to the list of threads.
Ron Coates

Odd, mine have been that way (black/blue) for a long time. Bud
Bud Krueger

The color is the result of a cookie in your browser.
when you visit the topic it is placed there. if your browser is set to delegate cookies and history when you exit then colors will go away, but start again the next time you visit.

you will then get part marked and part unmarked.

I've changed nothing in my settings (computer or BBS)...strange.

"delegate cookies and history"
Should read deleat.

Sorry the.cell phone has a mind of its own.
JA Benjamin

It isn't that there are colors, it is that they have changed. It appears someone is working on the site, and doing it live rather than in a test environment.
Steve S

No change for me....
Rob Edwards

I'm seeing the color reversal as well. Formerly blue was an unvisited thread, black being viewed, and now it's simply reversed. No changes made by me to my browser.
JE Carroll

Me too! Black un read, Blue read. But the Blue comes back after a re boot! PJ
Paul S Jennings

Got it now...it goes 'blue' if you've previously viewed the thread, stays 'black' if you haven't. Unfortunately it doesn't change from blue to black if a new response has been added to let you know there's new info since you last viewed it. Appears to be change for change's sake.
Gene Gillam

>Appears to be change for change's sake.

But apparently only for some. It's been black=unvisited link, blue=visited link for me for as long as I can remember.
Rob Edwards

My change is an overall yellow cast to the outside of the page.
Christopher Couper

Chris, I recently discovered a very light yellow tinge to the background of the first and third columns in the list. Bud
Bud Krueger

I forgot to mention that they recently moved the site to a new server and probably updated some programs or perhaps did not copy over all the settings from the old server.

I just remembered that because when I updated some files today I had to acknowledge that my files were older than what is currently on the server.
