MG TD TF 1500 - Who Sells These?
Need to get some bolts and nuts. Are these originals still available?![]() |

The company is still in business and there is a website. Today's version has nylon which wasn't used when our cars were built but has the similar profile. If you paint them, no one will hardly know the difference. http://www.afssimmonds.net/pdf/M3k6913_Flier_Nylstop_TypeP.pdf I only did a quick search on the site. There might be something else on there. They also have these style nuts that were used to secure the drive shaft flange to the transmission and rear end. http://www.afssimmonds.net/dah.php There was a real interesting thread on Simmond's nuts in the archives with period advertising. The latter nuts I mentioned, I believe, have a special name or is a different company and the name escapes me right now. |

Thanks Frank. I did find a fair match without nylon at British Tools & Fasteners. PJ

Nice! I did a quick search in the archives and the other style of nut was made by PHILIDAS. |

A nice thing also is they come in various British threads! So the original bolts can be used if available. Funny I never thought of them, as I've bought stuff from them before, British taps, dies etc. PJ |
