But was there Old Speckled Hen beer in attendance? |
Gene Gillam |
Actually, I run a classic sports car driving school in my spare time. A good way to write off my TD for taxes! Anybody want a lesson? Ed |

Beer...mmmmm...... Little early in the day for that Gene. |

Gene - You do realize, don't you, that the beer sold under the name Old Speckled Hen is not to same beer that was brewed by the Moreland brewery that was located in Abingdon. The Moreland brewery no longer exists and Old Speckled Hen beer is made by some other brewery and is nothing like the beer brewed by Moreland. Cheers - Dave |

Dave, your comments are also perfectly suited to describe the MG car company today. So paradoxically OSH is still eminently suitable! Being removed from Abingdon and made by some other company is what MG's are now about (sadly). Matthew. |

But only when drinking it by your brand new MG! |

Dave, maybe that's why I like Guinness... still brewed in the same brewery since 1759. Good old Arthur was smart... he signed a 45 pound per year lease, good for... 4000 years. Hopefully they will still be making a pint of plain in 4759. |
Geoffrey M Baker |
My mistake, Dave; Arthur signed a lease for 9000 years. |
