it went for 28000 last year, so did somebody fill its tank with unobtainium, was it bid up for an unknown reason, or is it a misprint.

Here is what I know. My son reported the price to me. I really hope he got it strait. That said LaVerne and I emailed.

If son is correct here is my best guess. This car has a TV restoration history. I do not know all the details of that. Perhaps someone thought it was the Shelby car. They had too much to drink before bidding. It got into a pissing contest between two guys/gals with money. You know how that can go. Pick one or add your own.

Those are my best guesses.

I just got the page to open and it lists it as having sold for $29,150.00.

Holy moly I got the page open for Scottsdale 2015 and sure enough it lists it as sold for $88,000!!!!

Really think he/she thought they were buying the Shelby TC. same color.

I have seen this happen before where two people with money get into a bidding war. The real value of the car does not matter. It becomes a "I have more money then you."

The link above states it sold for $29,150 but that was last time, this is the link from today in Scottsdale. Looks like it sold for $88,000 unless they made a mistake...

Ya I saw. Got a call from Art Todd while I was on the golf course. I thought he was pulling my leg. I asked about the TF and he said it went for 34 grand. The TD was nice but yours is nicer Dan. Hope some stupid money comes my way tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath

Looks like the crazy money was not there. Live feed I was watching said 25500 to 26000 and it did not show it as a sale. Too bad.

I guess when you consider the buyer's premium that put it at 28600.
