Triumph TR3 - Where to go for TR-3 parts

I have just bought 2 1960 TR-3s. One I am currently driving and it is all origional. This car was a one owner car and kept in great condition. From sitting for the last 20 years some of the rubber parts have dried and there are some dings here and there. Is there a place or places where I can get parts for the car that will not spoil it.

Also the 2nd car has wire wheels on it and I would like to interchange them between cars. Would this be a problem with the value or should I just leave the car factory origional.

Thanks

When you exchange your wheels, keep what you took off the original car in a safe place. That way you can authentically restore your car to factory original without loss of value. The bonus is that you are preserving the original parts while you are out there enjoying a drive in your TR.

Thank you Dick and Jerry for your reply.

Rich,
One aspect to be aware of is the difference in stud length between the disc-wheeled and wire-wheeled cars. Shortening the studs is straightforward (by cutting), while lengthening the front hub studs is easily achieved by interchange. Fitting longer studs to the rear hubs however requires the new studs to be mechanically peened over at the back - there is not really enough thickness of metal in the rear hub flange to merely rely on the stud splines to handle the loads that can be encountered in use. Unless properly secured, the rear studs can 'work' in the splined holes and permanently damage the hub flange.
The Roadster Factory should be able to assist.
(It may be simplest to swap the rear axle assemblies complete!)
Re originality, were you aware that 'birth certificates' for TR's are available through the TR Register in the U.K. These show the date of manufacture of the car and the accessories originally fitted to the vehicle.

Paul, How do I request a "birth cetificate" for my car ?

I'm asking the same question as Dick. Where and how do I get the build date specifications for my TR3? I would like this information before I decide on what colour of paint and trim to use.
