Scared the $hit out of my daughter.

Yeah, Bayische Motor Werke owns the brand but the Hardtop is made in Oxford England by the same folks that have been making them for 51 years!

Bayerische Motoren Werke own the brand. If I understand well, it is a nice german car with a British top. A real nice car and I am found of it.

Luckily we are on a Triumph forum: a friend owning a '68 Cooper-S is throwing holy water on new minis owner believing it is devil...

According to recent research BMW agreed a few years back for the UK to assemble the engines to make it fully a UK made car.

That's it...except the paint's different and it does not have headers and the roof really is two sun roofs and...well you get it.
